Die Zeit verging schnell, die Erlebnisse waren zahlreich, die Bekanntschaften einzigartige. Meine zwei Monate in Antigua und die Arbeit im 3 Monkeys Hostel waren eine Bereicherung. Eine wertvolle Erfahrung und umso wertvollere Erinnerungen.
Es waren gut ausgebuchte Wochen, oftmals waren gar keine oder nur sehr wenige Betten noch frei. Dementsprechend war viel los im Hostel. Mit ca. 40 Gästen hat das 3 Monkeys eine gute Grösse und mit der Bar einen guten Meeting point. Die Leute kamen schnell ins Gespräch und es war immer jemand zum quatschen da. Ich genoss viele Tage nur im Hostel, hörte unzählige Reisestories und lachte viel. Auch die Zusammenarbeit mit den anderen Volunteers und der Putzfrau sowie dem Allrounder machten Spass. Die meisten meiner Schichten verbrachte ich hinter der Bar und da gefiel es mir ganz gut. Auch an der Rezeption machte das arbeiten Spass und es war gut um mein Spanisch zu verbessern. Ebenfalls die Putzschichten zusammen mit Etelvina waren jedesmal ein Spass.
Antigua war magisch, eindrücklich und einzigartig! Ein Ort geschaffen durch den Tourismus und trotzdem mit viel Energie & Herz und auch für Einheimische ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel. Gracias por todo 3 Monkeys & Antigua!
Time passed quickly, the experiences were numerous, the notions unique. My two months in Antigua and the work at 3 Monkeys Hostel were an enrichment. A valuable experience and all the more valuable memories.
There were well-bosomed weeks, often no or very few beds were still free. So was busy at the hostel. With about 40 guests the 3 Monkeys is a good size and with the bar it has a good meeting point. People came quickly into a conversation and there was always someone to chat. I enjoyed many days only in the hostel, heard countless travel stories and laughed a lot. Also the cooperation with the other volunteers and the cleaning woman as well as the all-rounder were fun. Most of my shifts I spent behind the bar and I liked it quite well. Also at the front desk working was fun and it was good to improve my spanish. Also the cleaning shifts together with Etelvina were always a fun.
Antigua was magical, impressive and unique! A place created by tourism and still with a lot of energy & heart and also for locals a popular excursion destination. Gracias por todo 3 Monkeys & Antigua!
