30. Dezember morgens in León. Ich bekam Besuch im Hostel von Bastian, einem Deutschen Backpacker, welchen ich in Las Peñitas getroffen hatte. Wir entschieden uns damals gemeinsam weiterziehen. So machten wir uns auf den Weg zum Busterminal um einen Colectivo-Shuttle nach Managua zu erwischen. Da stiegen wir direkt um ins nächste Colectivo nach Granada. Die Fahrten waren angenehm, bequem und schnell. Gekostet hat die knapp 3 stündige Reise weniger als 3 Dollar.
Eh voila waren wir in Granada. Hier trafen wir auf Gwynn aus Holland und Elias aus Deutschland. Das Pärchen hatte Bastian bereits in Mexiko getroffen. Ebenfalls war Qwin aus Vietnam, eine Bekanntschaft aus Las Peñitas auch in Granada. Gemeinsam bereiteten wir ein New Years Eve dinner vor.
Das Essen war unglaublich, es gab Hühnchen Brust Sandwiches, ein typisches Vietnamesisch Gericht, Bruschetta und Olivenbrote, Guacamole, Frischkäse-Gemüse Dip, Avocado-Parmesan Pasta und eine Reispfanne.
Dazu Weisswein, Rotwein und Sekt!
Wow! Eine willkommene Abwechslung zum den täglichen Reis und Bohnen Gerichten.
Die Neujahrsparty war nicht allzu spektakulär. Wir feierten und tanzten etwas auf der Strasse. Nichts aussergewöhnliches. Spass hat es aber trotzdem gemacht.
December 30th in the morning in León, Bastian arrived at the hostel, a German backpacker, whom I had met in Las Peñitas. We decided to move on together. So we made our way to the bus terminal to catch a Colectivo to Managua. There we went directly to the next Colectivo to Granada. The rides were pleasant, comfortable and fast. The nearly 3-hour trip cost less than $ 3.
Eh voila we were in Granada. Here we met Gwynn from Holland and Elias from Germany. The couple had already met Bastian in Mexico. Also there was Qwin from Vietnam, an acquaintance from Las Peñitas. Together we prepared a New Years Eve dinner the next day.
The food was amazing, with chicken sandwiches, a typical Vietnamese dish, bruschetta and olive breads, guacamole, cream cheese-vegetable dip, avocado parmesan pasta and a rice pan.
In addition white wine, red wine and sparkling wine!
Wow! A welcome change from the daily rice and bean dishes.
The New Year party was not too spectacular. We celebrated and danced on the street. Nothing special but still a lot of fun!
