Mein Wochenend-Ausflug nach Cali zum Festival Mundial de Salsa war die Reise wert. Sich gemeinsam mit tausenden Fans das Finale der besten Salsatänzer von Kolumbien anzuschauen war ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Die Stimmung war mitreisend und die gebotene Show weltklasse!
Nach dem Finale am Sonntag Nachmittag erkundete ich montags die Stadt, komplett zu Fuss. Cali hat nicht ganz die Schönheit wie Bogotá, man sieht das sich hier eher die ärmeren Schichten niedergelassen haben und die Stadt au nicht ganz die Bedeutung hat wie Bogotá und Medellín.
Doch ich genoss meine Zeit in Cali und merkte gut dass sich die Stadt im Umbruch befindet.
My weekend trip to Cali for the Festival Mundial de Salsa was worth the trip. Looking at the finals of the best salsa dancers in Colombia with thousands of fans was a unique experience. The atmosphere was magical and the show just world class!
After the final on Sunday afternoon I explored the city the following Monday, completely on foot. Cali does not quite have the beauty of Bogotá, you can see that the poorer classes have settled here and the city has not the same significance as Bogotá and Medellín.
But I enjoyed my time in Cali and realized well that the city is in transition.
