Lago Tititaka & La Paz, Bolivia

The trip from Rainbow Mountain to Copacabana was long and with the public transport not possible on the same day, so I stayed on the way in a hotel in Juliaca. I left early the next morning and at about 9 o’clock I crossed the border. Because of the other time zone in Bolivia, it was already ten o’clock when I arrived in Bolivia. And yes, there is also a Copacabana in Bolivia, right on Lake Tititaka at 3800m, a bit different than the well-known beach on the Brazilian coast.

Spontaneously I decided to spend the night on Isla del Sol, and followed these two girls from Holland. Together we explored the small almost untouched island and enjoyed a nice but cold sunset. The following day, I moved back to the city, to La Paz also at 3800m. Here I stayed for only two nights and then traveled back to Peru. Due to my flight back home from Lima I did not have time to explore more in Bolivia.

But the short trip to the thirteenth and last Latin American country of my trip was still full of new impressions and exciting experiences. And La Paz determines the most chaotic city throughout the journey.
