Zusammen mit Ethan gings am 30. März weiter ins knapp zwei Stunden entfernte Chacahua. Ein Nationalpark mit Mangroven-Lagune, vielen seltenen Vögel und einem ruhigen und kleinen Ort direkt am Strand mit besten Surfbedingungen. Das war auch der Hauptgrund warum hier her kam. Ich mietete mir ein Surfboard für ganze 5 Tage und stürzte mich täglich in die Wellen.
Übernachtet wurde im Zelt für 20 Pesos (Fr. 1.-) bei Tía Mode. Eine mexikanische Hippie Dame, knapp über 60ig, welche für uns auch täglich kochte und dies so gut wie Zuhause. Wir kauften jeweils die Zutaten und Sie zauberte jedesmal ein tolles Essen auf den Tisch. Fisch ist natürlich die Hauptnahrung und dieser schmeckte jedesmal wunderbar. Des weiteren hatten wir zweimal Pankakes zum Frühstück und einem ein Shrimps-Ceviche.
Nach einer Woche machte ich mich wieder auf den Rückweg nach La Punta. Ethan blieb noch vier Nächte länger. Ich wäre au gerne noch länger geblieben, doch da es bald Besuch aus der Schweiz kommt, gibts noch einiges zu organisieren. Die Woche Chacahua, ohne Zeitsorgen, keinem Internet und mit vielen Wellen war erholsam, lehrreich und sicherlich bis jetzt einer des schönsten Orte meiner Reise.
Together with Ethan I went on March 30 to Chacahua, just two hours away. A national park with a mangrove lagoon, many rare birds and a quiet small town right on the beach with best surfing conditions. This was also the main reason why I. came here. I hired a surfboard for 5 days and plunged me into the waves every day.
We were camping for 20 pesos (Fr. 1.-) per night at Tía Mode. A Mexican hippie lady, just over 60, who cooked for us daily and this as well as at home. We bought the ingredients and each time she spoiled a great meal on the table. Fish is of course the main food and that tasted wonderful every time. We also had twice pancakes for breakfast and once a spicy shrimp ceviche.
After a week I went back to La Punta. Ethan stayed four more nights. I would have liked to stay longer, but soon my friends from Switzerland come for a visit and there is still a lot to organize. The week Chacahua, with no worries about time, no internet and with many waves was relaxing, educational and certainly one of the most beautiful places of my trip.
